Most people think authority comes from talking louder.
The truth? It comes from being clearer.
THE NUMBER ONE REASON MOST PEOPLE STAY STUCK
11/26/2025
this post I’m going to talk about the most common reason that I’ve discovered, over my years of coaching, why people don’t move forward. In fact, it’s the one thing that stops them from ever making any real progress at all. Are you ready for it? It’s fear. Fear is the number one reason most people stay stuck. There are a lot of reasons why people feel afraid. But the two main ones are: They’re afraid of change. They’re afraid of failure. So today I want to share some tips on how to move past your fears and start creating the life you want. TIP #1: GET CLEAR ON YOUR WHY Let me ask you something: What do you really want in life? Do you even know what it is? If you don’t have a clear vision of where you want to go, then there’s no motivation to get there. You need to have a strong ‘why’ that will help you overcome your fears and motivate you to take action. So sit down and think about what you really want in life. What excites you? What makes you happy? What would you like to accomplish? Once you have identified your goals, write them down and put them somewhere visible so you can see them every day! TIP #2: CHANGE YOUR MINDSET The second tip for moving past your fears is to change your mindset. Limiting beliefs and negative self-talk are huge deterrents when it comes to achieving our goals. When we tell ourselves things like “I’m not good enough” or “I’ll never succeed”, we create a self-fulfilling prophecy. You have to believe in yourself! Start replacing your negative thoughts with positive affirmations. If you’re afraid of change, remind yourself that change equals growth. And if you’re afraid of failure, remind yourself that failure is just feedback. It’s an opportunity to learn and improve. TIP #3: TAKE SMALL STEPS One of the biggest mistakes people make is trying to do too much, too fast. They set big goals for themselves and then feel overwhelmed by everything they need to do in order to achieve them. Instead, focus on taking small steps everyday towards your goal. Break it down into smaller, more manageable tasks that you can easily accomplish. The great thing about taking small steps is that each step builds upon the last one and before you know it, you’ve made a lot of progress.
